Land Development Project Engineer leads civil infrastructure planning budgeting design permitting and construction for grading roads water sewer and dry utilities in master-planned communities. What You'll Do15

  • 1Procure entitlements including General Plan Amendments Zoning Tentative Maps Final Maps Development Agreements and process construction plans permits with governmental agencies
  • 2Assist in land acquisition feasibility risk analysis and due diligence processes
  • 3Present projects at public hearings meet with city staff Planning Commissioners and City Council members
  • 4Manage consultants procure contracts compile budgets and submit design applications
  • 5Oversee project approvals and implementation including Conditions of Approval Development Agreements and SIA
  • 6Process invoices maintain project budgets and coordinate opening processes
  • 7Negotiate design and cost issues with city government
  • 8Direct compilation and approval of project disclosures
  • 9Act as liaison between field personnel and consultants providing support to superintendents and sales
  • 10Conduct feasibility studies identify constraints prepare cost estimates and develop project schedules
  • 11Facilitate design plan production for regulatory agency and developer submissions
  • 12Identify interpret and resolve technical project issues with minimal oversight
  • 13Coordinate engineering services for projects including reports design calculations grading and pavement design
  • 14Attend project progress meetings and agency review meetings
  • 15Analyze regulations and implement innovative design concepts for efficiency and cost savings

Requirements10

  • 1Knowledge of land planning laws and California Environmental Quality Act and Subdivision Map Act
  • 2Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • 3Professional demeanor and ability to build effective relationships
  • 4Degree in Business Administration Finance Planning Construction Management Architecture or Civil Engineering
  • 5Five+ years of construction industry experience
  • 6Experience with development agreements five years required
  • 7Proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel and Project
  • 8Five years of experience with General Plan Amendments
  • 9Five years of experience with Tentative Maps
  • 10Five years of experience with Final Maps
