What You'll Do10

  • 1Initiate and direct coordination with engineering disciplines, guiding system types and resolving technical issues.
  • 2Conduct in-depth architectural and engineering coordination quality control checks, including peer reviews of documents.
  • 3Prepare statements of probable cost and perform cost estimating for projects.
  • 4Oversee production of Construction Documents for multiple projects, ensuring standards and QC throughout.
  • 5Mentor and train team members, conducting performance reviews and shaping office vision.
  • 6Assist project managers in setting scope and budget, and support bid processes and proposals.
  • 7Manage permitting processes and responses to comments, handling jurisdiction interactions.
  • 8Lead design solutions and presentations, analyzing client problems and producing design, CDs, and specifications.
  • 9Provide construction administration services, including field assistance and resolving questions.
  • 10Sign and seal documents, and promote sustainable design and marketing involvement.

Requirements10

  • 1Hold an active architectural license.
  • 210+ years experience in a professional architectural office.
  • 3Complete understanding of building construction methods and techniques.
  • 4Knowledge of major model codes, with ability to research and apply applicable codes.
  • 5Advanced skills in research, planning, design, CDs, and administration/inspections.
  • 6Ability to run large projects or a series of medium projects.
  • 7Experience with cost estimating and preparing statements of probable cost.
  • 8Proficiency in coordinating with engineering disciplines and leading kickoff meetings.
  • 9Capability to mentor, teach, and lead team members.
  • 10Skill in resolving design issues and answering technical questions.
