Project Accountant - Atlanta Construction Accounting
Overview
Join our growing construction accounting team in Atlanta as a Project Accountant. This full-time onsite role involves managing billing and payment activity while supporting multiple projects. You will partner with project teams to ensure accurate financial information.
What You'll Do11
- 1Process subcontractor payment applications and purchase orders in GC Pay
- 2Review contract and invoice details for accuracy
- 3Manage vendor payments and prepare positive-pay files
- 4Analyze job costs and budgets to identify variances
- 5Prepare and submit monthly owner payment applications
- 6Track compliance requirements including Section 3 and Davis-Bacon
- 7Submit required documentation to housing authorities and community agencies
- 8Process weekly vendor payments through GC Pay and OneAP
- 9Maintain subcontractor compliance status in Vista
- 10Assist with project closeout activities and lien waivers
- 11Build relationships with subcontractors and vendors
Requirements10
- 13-5 years of project accounting experience in construction
- 2Proficiency with multiple construction projects simultaneously
- 3Knowledge of subcontractor payment applications and owner billings
- 4Experience with purchase orders and contracts
- 5Familiarity with job-cost reports and construction accounting processes
- 6Strong communication and organizational skills
- 7Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
- 8Payroll certification or related compliance experience preferred
- 9Detail-oriented with high accuracy standards
- 10Experience with Microsoft Office Suite required
