Overview

You will own manufacturing planning for diverse products including machined parts, composites, and production assemblies at Karman Space & Defense. You will turn engineered prints into complete plans in EPICOR ERP, coordinating with engineering, quality, and program teams. You will support over 130 space and defense programs, working onsite in Salt Lake City with a team that values precision and speed. This role drives schedule alignment and material availability, a critical function for mission-critical systems.

What You'll Do9

  • 1Build manufacturing plans from engineered prints and engineering databases using EPICOR ERP.
  • 2Coordinate with program managers and engineers to embed product requirements into planning.
  • 3Work with manufacturing leads to include fabrication and assembly processes in each plan.
  • 4Collaborate with quality engineering and assurance to integrate inspection and test steps.
  • 5Prepare purchase requisitions and generate purchase suggestions based on program needs.
  • 6Maintain product bills of material (BOMs) to guide purchasing and kitting.
  • 7Solicit supplier quotes and track delivery dates for manufactured and purchased materials.
  • 8Resolve issues with manufacturing teams and suppliers to keep schedules on track.
  • 9Notify program managers of any plan deviations or changes.

Requirements6

  • 1High school diploma required.
  • 2Associate's degree in a related discipline preferred.
  • 33+ years of applicable experience in manufacturing or planning.
  • 41+ years of EPICOR ERP software experience.
  • 5U.S. person status under export control laws (citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).
  • 6Ability to interpret engineered prints and engineering databases.
