Program Management Lead, PDLC Transformation
Overview
You will own the end-to-end program management plan for Citi's enterprise PDLC transformation, translating strategy into structured workstreams, milestones, and transparent reporting. Reporting to the Head of Product Development Transformation, you will partner daily with the Head of Product Development Strategy (SVP) as the operational engine that keeps pilots running, dependencies managed, and stakeholders informed. This is a high-visibility VP role (C13) that blends hands-on execution with executive communication, driving governance, risk management, and delivery rigor across a complex, multi-workstream transformation. You will bring structure to ambiguity and ensure the program delivers on its promises with pace and precision.
What You'll Do9
- 1Build and own comprehensive program management plans, including charters, workstreams, milestones, dependencies, and resource allocation, aligned with strategic objectives.
- 2Lead day-to-day execution across business, technology, operations, finance, risk, controls, and HR, resolving blockers and driving cross-functional alignment.
- 3Establish and run governance cadences such as steering committees and status reviews, producing dashboards and reports that give leadership real-time visibility.
- 4Proactively identify, assess, and manage program risks and issues, creating mitigation plans and escalating critical concerns to Program Directors or Sponsors.
- 5Engage stakeholders, manage expectations, secure resource commitments, and align business cases with objectives, including managing contracts with procurement.
- 6Drive adherence to program management standards, procedures, and tooling, ensuring consistent execution and reporting across the program.
- 7Lead and mentor assigned personnel, including performance evaluations and development recommendations.
- 8Manage budget and resource planning, accountable for delivering program results within constraints.
- 9Assess and mitigate risks in every business decision, safeguarding Citigroup's reputation and ensuring compliance with laws and policies.
Requirements10
- 16+ years of progressive experience in program or project management, ideally in financial services or large-scale enterprise environments.
- 2Proven expertise in architecting and governing complex programs with interdependent workstreams, diverse stakeholders, and demanding timelines.
- 3Experience managing full lifecycle of strategic initiatives, including pilots, PoCs, and phased rollouts in a matrixed organization.
- 4Solid understanding of product management and the end-to-end product development lifecycle.
- 5Familiarity with Citi's internal environment and technology ecosystem is a plus.
- 6Proficiency in methodologies like Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and tools such as Jira, Confluence, and MS Project.
- 7Exceptional ability to structure ambiguity and create actionable plans for complex transformation goals.
- 8Track record of proactively resolving blockers and driving accountability in high-stakes, fast-moving settings.
- 9Expertise in creating executive-level reports and data-driven dashboards.
- 10Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Master's preferred.
Salary Insight
$130 - $195k per year
