Program Finance Manager, GovCon Cost-Type Contracts
Overview
You will own financial planning and analysis for a $200M portfolio of cost-type government contracts. Partner with the Division VP and program teams to drive accurate forecasting, budgeting, and reporting. Use Costpoint, TM1, and Cognos to deliver insights that shape decisions. This role supports a U.S. Coast Guard program with a remote-first setup.
What You'll Do8
- 1Build and maintain program profit and loss statements, trend analyses, and variance reports for leadership and customers.
- 2Drive the monthly rolling forecast and annual operating budget process using TM1 and Excel.
- 3Lead month-end close activities including cost accruals and revenue recognition with Costpoint.
- 4Support pricing exercises for option years and ROMs on Cost-Plus contracts.
- 5Track subcontractor spending and funding to align with contract requirements and budgets.
- 6Analyze data from Costpoint, Cognos, and Excel to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- 7Collaborate with Accounting, Contracts, and Procurement to resolve financial issues and support contract deliverables.
- 8Implement process improvements in FP&A workflows and financial reporting cadence.
Requirements9
- 18+ years as a Financial Analyst in a GOVCON environment.
- 2Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent experience.
- 3Proven experience with cost-type contracts, including DoD or federal programs.
- 4Knowledge of CAS, FAR, and GAAP.
- 5Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and complex formulas.
- 6Hands-on experience with Costpoint for financial and project accounting.
- 7Experience using TM1 for forecasting and Cognos for reporting.
- 8Strong analytical and communication skills to present financial insights to diverse audiences.
- 9Ability to manage multiple priorities and support large contracts valued at $200M+ annually.
