Program Advisor ACN CTR Countering Advanced Conventional Weapons
Overview
The Program Advisor will lead high priority programs to counter China and Russia’s advanced conventional weapons proliferation and promote US defense vendors. They will provide programmatic, financial, and technical oversight across multiple priority areas and engage with interagency partners, foreign governments, and private sector stakeholders. This role emphasizes international collaboration, policy support, and interagency coordination to advance U.S. nonproliferation and defense export objectives.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and design security assistance programs with embassies and bureaus to advance ACN CTR objectives security assistance programming coordination stakes
- 2Lead research studies and interventions to promote U.S. security alternatives and counter proliferation analysis policy research stakeholders
- 3Oversee project management and third party implementers to ensure timely outcomes and performance management implementers oversight
- 4Monitor and assess implementer performance and program results performance monitoring evaluation
- 5Support budget planning for grants and cooperative agreements including financial monitoring and closeout budget financial grants
- 6Evaluate threat reduction proposals and allocate funding based on geographic and subject matter expertise funding proposals geography
- 7Conduct research and analysis to tailor programs to national security priorities research analysis priorities
- 8Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships across the USG and international partners stakeholders relationships
- 9Represent ACN CTR in technical policy discussions and high level meetings with foreign governments and industry representation policy meetings
- 10Draft papers and brief officials on program activities and policy perspectives briefings policy documentation
Requirements5
- 1Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years’ relevant experience, or Master’s degree and 5+ years’, or Ph.D. and 1+ years’ experience
- 2Experience in USG international security, nonproliferation, or defense sales with exercises and training
- 3Knowledge of FMS FMF and DCS is a plus
- 4Strong writing, presentation, analysis, and interagency coordination skills
- 5Ability to manage multiple projects with short deadlines and prioritize a heavy workload
