Overview
Production Planner at Johnson Screens Inc optimizes production efficiency ensures on-time delivery manages inventory levels. What You'll Do9
- 1Build strong working relationships across Sales Customer Service Engineering Procurement and Production
- 2Develop and maintain aggressive yet achievable production schedules aligned with business strategy and customer demand
- 3Coordinate production workflow across assigned value streams ensuring optimal use of manpower equipment and raw materials
- 4Partner with Production Supervisors Leads and Line staff to create detailed machine and work center schedules
- 5Monitor production progress through regular shop floor engagement daily meetings and ongoing communication
- 6Proactively identify scheduling risks bottlenecks or supply chain disruptions and develop contingency plans
- 7Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on process efficiency cost reduction and lean manufacturing
- 8Ensure compliance with all Quality HSE and Company policies procedures and work instructions
- 9Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall operational goals
Requirements7
- 11–3 years of manufacturing experience in a production planning role preferably within metal fabrication
- 2Vocational or technical degree or equivalent experience preferred
- 3CPIM certification or other relevant supply chain production credentials are a plus
- 4Strong understanding of Material Requirements Planning MRP processes
- 5Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
- 6Highly organized with effective time management and attention to detail
- 7Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word Excel Outlook and familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP
