Production Operator, Medical Device Assembly
Overview
You will assemble, repair, and test pacemakers, ICDs, and leads in a manufacturing cell at Techlink Systems in Portland, OR. Working under close supervision, you will follow standardized procedures to deliver high-quality medical devices. You will maintain accurate records for traceability and quality, and participate in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. This role offers deep exposure to QMS and EMS compliance in a regulated environment.
What You'll Do9
- 1Assemble pacemakers and ICDs per manufacturing cell procedures, meeting first 90 days quality targets.
- 2Repair and test medical device assemblies using electronic data collection systems and computer software packages.
- 3Update job documentation for cell operations to maintain ISO compliance.
- 4Communicate ideas, problems, and solutions to manufacturing management in written and oral form.
- 5Follow safety guidelines and use safety devices during all operations to prevent incidents.
- 6Participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance production processes and achieve quality and profitability metrics.
- 7Track and document all parts in traveler and quality documents to ensure traceability and address quality issues.
- 8Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve cell efficiency.
- 9Support divisional initiatives and QMS, EMS, and other regulatory requirements.
Requirements8
- 1High school degree or equivalent preferred.
- 21+ year experience in manufacturing or medical device assembly.
- 3Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written procedures and verbal instructions.
- 4Proficiency with electronic data collection systems and computer software.
- 5Skill in handling and maneuvering small components and parts.
- 6Ability to prioritize work by sequencing and timing jobs based on precedence and importance.
- 7Make critical decisions and judgments with minimal supervision.
- 8Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
