Production Machine Operator Job in Minneapolis, MN
Overview
You will own production machine operation in a GMP environment, running cartoners, labelers, and pouching machines. You will work one of two shifts (Monday-Thursday) and earn $22.00-$24.00/hr. This role supports food and pharmaceutical manufacturing with 5S standards and batch record accuracy. You will join a team focused on safety and quality in a contract-to-hire position.
What You'll Do9
- 1Operate cartoners, labelers, wrappers, and pouching machines in a GMP production line.
- 2Monitor equipment and product for defects, irregularities, or malfunctions during runs.
- 3Assist with end-of-line packaging, including filling and stacking shippers, and transporting pallets.
- 4Complete batch records, logbooks, and production forms accurately per SOPs.
- 5Set up and tear down equipment, loading correct formulas and materials for each run.
- 6Verify weight limits and document production output and downtime.
- 7Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area per 5S standards.
- 8Use hand tools and mechanical skills for minor adjustments and troubleshooting.
- 9Collaborate with team members to support continuous improvement in safety and quality.
Requirements8
- 11+ year experience operating production equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- 2GMP knowledge and ability to follow SOPs and batch records.
- 3High school diploma or equivalent.
- 4Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- 5Basic math skills to check weights and counts.
- 6Attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- 7Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- 8Flexibility to work overtime on Fridays when required.
