
Machine Operator Tier 1 - First Shift
Overview
System One leads outsourced services across North America. This role owns production machinery on a first shift basis in Minneapolis. The position offers competitive compensation and benefits. It differs by focusing on direct operational ownership and clear career progression opportunities.
What You'll Do13
- 1Operate production machinery while continuously monitoring the quality of output and machine performance
- 2Perform small machine adjustments using company-supplied hand tools to ensure product quality and production speed
- 3Maintain equipment in good working order and document logs for production inventory and ISO controls
- 4Shred destruction materials and stock materials in preparation for production
- 5Conduct weekly cleaning of the shop floor including sweeping and trash removal
- 6Ensure punctuality accuracy and team collaboration in work and surroundings
- 7Assist other operators as needed including providing machine coverage during breaks and lunch
- 8Review job sheets and approved proofs to determine customer specifications such as material requirements and shipment details
- 9Communicate all pertinent issues related to quality production or maintenance directly to the Production Supervisor or Manager
- 10Identify evaluate and initiate corrective actions on machinery operations seeking assistance as needed
- 11Convey shift carry-over information including job and machine status during shift transitions
- 12Use maintenance knowledge and hands-on experience to diagnose and repair minor machine issues
- 13Provide feedback about training and manuals
Requirements11
- 1US citizen or Green Card holder
- 2Strong written and verbal communication skills
- 3Basic math skills and knowledge of basic hand tools
- 4Proficiency with Microsoft Office including typing and Excel
- 5Ability to prioritize workload and troubleshoot routine machine issues
- 6Effective and courteous communication with co-workers
- 7Technical education or experience preferred
- 8Moderate Risk Public Trust clearance from the U.S. State Department
- 9Up to 1 year of manufacturing or machine IT experience preferred
- 10Physical ability to lift up to 35 pounds and distinguish colors across the spectrum
- 11Repetitive motion and excellent eye-hand coordination required
