Product Systems Engineer - Uncrewed Aircraft Systems
Overview
TrellisWare Technologies seeks a Product Systems Engineer to lead design and integration of TrellisWare radios within uncrewed aircraft systems. This role drives system architecture across RF networking and application layers while collaborating with cross‑functional teams. Successful candidates will deliver excellence in pushing communication boundaries and empowering high‑impact outcomes.
What You'll Do9
- 1Partner with Business Development and Product Management to define system requirements and feature sets for UAS platforms and TrellisWare products through proposals and presentations
- 2Lead architecture development for RF waveform and networking systems across the engineering organization
- 3Drive integration of TrellisWare products into UAS ecosystems throughout installation configuration operation and maintenance lifecycles
- 4Collaborate with UAS partners and vendors to validate high‑quality integrations meeting performance criteria
- 5Identify and mitigate implementation risks while coordinating debugging efforts across TrellisWare and partner engineering teams
- 6Provide hands‑on technical support for product trials and demonstrations
- 7Author and present technical reports at customer and industry events highlighting UAS success stories
- 8Serve as technical resource and mentor for engineering staff
- 9Develop relationships based on trust and respect within the team
Requirements12
- 1Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with preference for Master’s
- 2Minimum five years industry experience including at least three years in product systems engineering or product system verification
- 3Working knowledge of wireless standards including GSM CDMA LTE Wi‑Fi Bluetooth and military protocols such as SRW WNW MUOS Link‑16
- 4Proven track record of leading verified integrations for commercial and military wireless products
- 5Experience managing hardware software product test manufacturing projects
- 6Extensive RF system design expertise covering antenna placement cosite analysis and EMI management
- 7Demonstrated ability to verify waveform performance in real‑world field environments
- 8Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to simplify complex technical concepts
- 9Independent work style with collaborative teamwork capability
- 10Analytical problem solving and decision making abilities
- 11U.S. citizenship required with possibility of obtaining security clearance
- 12Physical stamina to sit stand walk and lift objects up to fifty pounds
