What You'll Do8

  • 1Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for procurement categories including building materials, equipment, and subcontractor services within the first 90 days, targeting 10% cost reduction.
  • 2Lead RFP, RFQ, and RFI processes to select suppliers, negotiating contracts, SLAs, and pricing that lower total cost of ownership.
  • 3Drive supplier performance reviews using KPIs and scorecards, holding vendors accountable for quality, delivery, and compliance.
  • 4Manage vendor transitions and product rollouts, coordinating with operations and IT to ensure seamless integration and minimal disruption.
  • 5Analyze spend data with Excel and Tableau to identify savings opportunities and present quarterly results to executive leadership.
  • 6Partner with legal and risk management to enforce compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations, mitigating supply chain risks.
  • 7Set procurement policies and procedures, aligning with ISO 9001 quality standards to ensure consistency across all branches.
  • 8Lead a team of 2-3 buyers, coaching them on negotiation tactics and supplier management best practices.

Requirements8

  • 15+ years in procurement or supply chain management, with at least 2 years in a managerial role overseeing vendor contracts.
  • 2Proven track record negotiating contracts with suppliers in the construction or restoration industry, reducing costs by 15% or more.
  • 3Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing methodologies, including RFx processes and total cost of ownership analysis.
  • 4Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as SAP or Oracle, generating spend reports and inventory tracking.
  • 5Ability to manage budgets of $5M+ and deliver measurable cost savings while maintaining vendor quality and service levels.
  • 6Excellent analytical and financial skills, demonstrated through spend analysis and supplier evaluation presentations.
  • 7Knowledge of regulatory compliance in disaster recovery or construction, including OSHA safety standards and EPA environmental rules.
  • 8Willingness to travel up to 20% for vendor site visits and company meetings.
