As Large Loss Project Manager, you own the end-to-end delivery of high-stakes reconstruction projects for fire, water, and storm damage across residential and commercial properties. You will manage 5+ active projects with budgets up to $2M, coordinating subcontractors, insurance adjusters, and internal teams to hit deadlines and quality standards. What You'll Do8
- 1Own large-loss projects from estimate to closeout, tracking budgets, schedules, and quality against Xactimate scopes and client expectations.
- 2Drive daily job site coordination, directing subcontractors and internal crews to meet milestones and safety protocols.
- 3Communicate progress and decisions with property owners, insurance adjusters, and stakeholders, ensuring alignment on scope and change orders.
- 4Review and approve project estimates, change orders, and resource plans to protect margins and profitability.
- 5Audit documentation, contracts, and compliance paperwork, submitting accurate records within 24 hours of completion.
- 6Track performance metrics like sales, gross margin, and customer satisfaction, implementing corrective actions when targets slip.
- 7Build and sustain partnerships with vendors and subcontractors, negotiating rates and scheduling to optimize project flow.
- 8Maintain adherence to OSHA standards and company policies, conducting regular site inspections and toolbox talks.
Requirements8
- 17+ years in residential or commercial construction, restoration, or project management, with 2+ years leading large-loss projects.
- 2Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field, or equivalent industry experience in restoration.
- 3Valid driver's license with a clean record, plus ability to travel between job sites and work on-call as needed.
- 4Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget, using MS Project or similar scheduling tools.
- 5Strong financial acumen, including reading P&L statements and managing budgets up to $2M.
- 6Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills with insurance adjusters, subcontractors, and clients.
- 7Ability to lift 40 lbs frequently and 100 lbs occasionally, with comfort in confined spaces and outdoor conditions.
- 8Proficiency in Xactimate, Microsoft Office, and CRM software for documentation and reporting.
