Construction Project Manager, Insurance Restoration
Overview
You will own the full lifecycle of residential and commercial reconstruction projects across an assigned Houston territory, from water damage repairs to full fire rebuilds. You will coordinate subcontractors, manage schedules, enforce quality, and drive collections, with 10-15 active jobs at any time. Working closely with insurance adjusters and property owners, you will bring order to complex recovery efforts and keep projects moving from first estimate to final certificate. This field-based role rewards proactive problem-solvers with per-project pay plus commissions on new business and upgrades.
What You'll Do9
- 1Own daily execution across 10-15 active reconstruction sites, traveling between jobs and maintaining project momentum.
- 2Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and internal staff to meet schedules and quality standards.
- 3Recruit, qualify, and onboard new trades to build a reliable network for both small repairs and large rebuilds.
- 4Run site inspections for workmanship, safety, and cleanliness, catching issues before they escalate.
- 5Verify materials match project specs and coordinate delivery or pickup to avoid delays.
- 6Maintain daily project documentation and send briefs to management on progress, risks, and completion dates.
- 7Handle change orders, customer upgrades, and extra work, plus collect payments, deductibles, and supplements.
- 8Obtain Certificates of Satisfaction and complete final walkthroughs to close out jobs.
- 9Build lasting relationships with homeowners, adjusters, and subcontractors to smooth the path from claim to completion.
Requirements9
- 13+ years managing construction projects, ideally in insurance restoration or reconstruction.
- 2Experience with water, fire, or storm damage projects, including large-scale loss.
- 3Working knowledge of Xactimate or similar estimating software.
- 4Track record of juggling multiple projects and subcontractors simultaneously.
- 5Solid grasp of construction methods, sequencing, and quality control.
- 6Strong communication skills and a professional presence for client and adjuster meetings.
- 7Reliable vehicle, valid license, and willingness to travel across the territory.
- 8Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus for homeowner interactions.
- 9Ability to work flexible hours when project deadlines demand it.
