What You'll Do8

  • 1Deliver comprehensive primary care including wellness exams, chronic disease management, and urgent visits for a patient panel of 2.5 million eligible patients.
  • 2Build trusted relationships with patients through 20-60 minute appointments that prioritize prevention and health education.
  • 3Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests as needed.
  • 4Prescribe medications and treatments, utilizing your DEA number for full prescribing ability.
  • 5Coordinate care with specialists and resources like RubiconMD for virtual consults and UpToDate for evidence-based guidance.
  • 6Document patient encounters accurately in the EHR, minimizing administrative tasks to focus on care.
  • 7Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and reduce healthcare costs.
  • 8Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, NPs, PAs, and mental health professionals.

Requirements7

  • 1Active license and current ANCC or AANP board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
  • 2Independent practice provider preferred, where applicable per state regulation.
  • 3Federal DEA number preferred; may be required for full prescribing ability.
  • 4CPR/BLS certification required at time of start.
  • 5Independent family practice experience including routine wellness care, chronic care management, and urgent visits, preferred.
  • 6Experience with EHR systems and telehealth platforms.
  • 7Ability to work PRN (as needed) across multiple locations in Los Angeles.
