Overview
You will own the architecture for a core domain at Coworker, a fast-growing startup reshaping how companies work. You will ship GoLang, TypeScript, and Python daily while mentoring senior engineers. What You'll Do9
- 1Ship production code daily across the full stack with GoLang, TypeScript, and Python.
- 2Own the technical roadmap for your domain, diving into the hardest problems and setting the architecture direction.
- 3Mentor senior and staff engineers, serving as the escalation point for complex technical challenges.
- 4Lead cross-org initiatives in AI/ML and distributed systems to drive measurable business outcomes.
- 5Drive incident response and post-mortems, ensuring systemic learning and operational excellence.
- 6Guide early architecture decisions that will scale across the global economy, focusing on AI innovation.
- 7Establish and model the engineering culture, living the mission and setting standards for sustainable performance.
- 8Collaborate with product to shape vision and strategy, balancing innovation with technical constraints.
- 9Hire and interview for senior+ roles, raising the bar for engineering talent across the organization.
Requirements8
- 110+ years of professional development experience, with deep full stack expertise.
- 2Experience owning products from zero to one, including system design, implementation, and deployment.
- 3Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead without direct authority.
- 4Proven ability to use AI tools aggressively to accelerate development velocity.
- 5Deep expertise in at least two of: distributed systems, data pipelines, AI/ML infrastructure, security, or frontend architecture at scale.
- 6Experience defining SLAs and SLOs for production systems with strong operational discipline.
- 7Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
- 8Comfort with ambiguity and a track record of driving technical decisions across team boundaries.
