Principal Application Engineer, DDR Memory & SERDES
Overview
You will own validation and application support for RCD and Data Buffer products across the full product lifecycle, from conception to production release. You will interface with Design Engineering, Test Engineering, and Quality Assurance to understand and solve complex application challenges. With 10+ years in post-Silicon debug, you will define new product specs and drive customer success. This role offers high visibility and growth potential within a global semiconductor leader.
What You'll Do7
- 1Own product development support from conception to production release, interfacing with Design Engineering, Test Engineering, and Quality Assurance.
- 2Drive customer success by solving technical challenges and guiding integration of Renesas Memory Interface products.
- 3Write detailed application notes and documentation for external customers and internal teams.
- 4Develop solutions that maximize performance of RCD and Data Buffer products in user applications.
- 5Define new product specifications to maintain competitive edge in the DDR market.
- 6Design and debug hardware and software for lab validation, including Python-based test automation.
- 7Lead high-speed test board design, analysis, and debug to ensure signal integrity.
Requirements8
- 110+ years of direct experience in post-Silicon applications, debug, and validation.
- 2Strong knowledge of DDR3/DDR4/DDR5 and/or SERDES protocols, testing, and application.
- 3Familiarity with Intel x86 server system architecture.
- 4Skilled in lab equipment: oscilloscopes, pattern generators, ATE, logic analyzers.
- 5Skilled in test automation development using Python.
- 6Experience in high-speed test board design, analysis, and debug.
- 7Familiarity with DIMM RCD, Data Buffer, I2C, and I3C devices is a plus.
- 8Master's in Electrical Engineering or related with 10+ years experience, or Bachelor's with 15+ years.
