Pricing Analyst, Cost Analysis & Market Strategy
Overview
You will own pricing analysis for a leading manufacturer of motion and control technologies, covering aerospace, automotive, and industrial sectors. You will set price ceilings and floors, model competitive and cost factors, and drive pricing decisions that shape long-term profitability. Working with product managers and sales, you will implement tools and dashboards for pricing effectiveness. This 18-month contract in Medley, FL offers hands-on exposure to strategic pricing in a global industrial environment.
What You'll Do9
- 1Design continuous improvement techniques for pricing processes and systems, eliminating waste and boosting accuracy.
- 2Build reporting improvements to measure pricing effectiveness across product lines, using Excel and Access.
- 3Analyze product markets to determine ceiling and floor prices, considering volume, cost, and competition.
- 4Drive strategic pricing initiatives by monitoring division alignment and recommending pricing levels.
- 5Create feedback loops to refine pricing models and support successful product launches.
- 6Implement pricing tools for product managers and field sales teams to use in the field.
- 7Set list prices, standard discounts, and rebates, and manage price increase communications.
- 8Recommend exception pricing guidelines and authority levels, maintaining a structured approval process.
- 9Prepare management reports on market changes and pricing performance, enabling responsive adjustments.
Requirements6
- 1Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Data Analytics, or related field.
- 2Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access.
- 3Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- 4Project management skills with sales or marketing experience a plus.
- 5General understanding of manufacturing processes, practices, and cost accounting.
- 6Ability to maintain customer confidence by protecting pricing information confidentiality.
