You will operate high-speed automated machinery producing paper cups for a growing packaging manufacturer in Lorton, VA. You will monitor production runs, adjust settings, and inspect output to meet quality standards. The role sits within a small production team and reports to the shift lead. Shifts run Monday through Friday on 8-hour schedules with flexible start times. This position offers steady work at $18.00-$23.00 per hour based on experience. You will own machine uptime and product quality from day one.

What You'll Do7

  • 1Run high-speed cup forming machines and adjust settings to maintain output and quality.
  • 2Load paper rolls into equipment to keep production lines running without delays.
  • 3Troubleshoot minor jams or misalignments and reset machinery to minimize downtime.
  • 4Inspect finished cups for defects such as burns, tears, or misprints.
  • 5Log daily production counts and machine performance metrics in shift reports.
  • 6Follow OSHA safety rules and keep your workstation clean and organized.
  • 7Assist with changeovers between product runs to support team efficiency.

Requirements5

  • 11+ years operating machinery or working in a manufacturing environment.
  • 2Ability to stand for full shifts and lift up to 50 lbs of raw materials.
  • 3Strong attention to detail and consistent punctuality.
  • 4Familiarity with mechanical concepts or OSHA standards is a plus.
  • 5Experience in paper, packaging, or food-grade manufacturing is a plus.
