Overview
As a Press Operator on the 2nd shift, you will own the operation of automatic stamping presses to produce high-quality components in a LEAN manufacturing environment. You will work a 4-day schedule, Monday through Thursday, 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM, earning a $2.00 shift differential per hour. What You'll Do7
- 1Operate automatic stamping presses to meet production goals, adjusting equipment with powered hand tools as needed.
- 2Communicate with department leadership about issues and improvements, assisting with press setups and changeovers.
- 3Perform quality inspections to blueprints and specifications using precision measuring tools like micrometers and calipers.
- 4Count, package, and palletize finished product according to work orders, ensuring auxiliary equipment runs to standard.
- 5Maintain a clean work environment meeting 6S standards, prioritizing safety in every action.
- 6Troubleshoot basic mechanical issues during press operation to minimize downtime.
- 7Document production data and quality checks accurately using computer or touchscreen systems.
Requirements9
- 11 year of related experience in manufacturing or press operation preferred.
- 2High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- 3Ability to stand for 8-12 hours and lift up to 50 pounds with proper technique.
- 4Read a tape measure to 1/32" tolerance and use protractors, micrometers, and calipers.
- 5Apply basic math skills to measurements and counts.
- 6Comprehend instructions in English in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- 7Commit to reliable attendance and punctuality, with occasional overtime as needed.
- 8Use computer or touchscreen for daily tasks and training modules.
- 9Work safely in an environment with potential exposure to heat, cold, loud noise, vibration, and moving parts.
