Prerinatal Surgical Tech
Overview
Join the growing BILH team making a difference in people’s lives as a scrub assistant. You will participate in C/S deliveries and maintain aseptic technique while assisting the surgical team. This role involves direct patient care for newborn adolescents and adult OB/GYN patients under RN supervision.
What You'll Do11
- 1Prepare C/S room in acceptable time
- 2Utilize physician preference cards and obtain appropriate equipment sutures gloves and supplies
- 3Maintain aseptic technique throughout the case
- 4Scrub gowns and gloves according to policy
- 5Assist with prepping and draping according to procedure
- 6Anticipate needs of surgical team
- 7Demonstrate skill in proper handling of instruments
- 8Perform counts according to MAH policy
- 9Handle specimens and/or cultures according to policy and procedure
- 10Prioritize set up accurately and organize back table
- 11Consult with team members to identify individual patient needs
Requirements5
- 1High School Graduate or equivalent
- 2Successful completion of orientation to the above departments
- 3Successful completion of birthplace operating room techniques
- 4Basic Cardiac Support Certification
- 5Complete MAH Annual Safety Program
