Preload Supervisor, Package Operations
Overview
You will train and supervise Package Handlers and Clerks to ensure safe, timely, and productive package operations at a Fortune Global 500 logistics hub. You will own daily supervision, including attendance, timecards, and team performance. You will work with management to coordinate evaluations and solve package concerns. Operating in a physical, high-volume warehouse, you'll deploy Microsoft Office for reporting and communication. This role builds leadership skills in a dynamic logistics environment.
What You'll Do7
- 1Train new and current employees on safety procedures and productivity standards using Microsoft Office training materials.
- 2Supervise daily activities of package handlers and clerks to meet throughput targets for the first 90 days.
- 3Hold team members accountable for attendance and submit accurate timecards each shift.
- 4Develop and maintain working relationships with employees, management, and customers to resolve package concerns.
- 5Facilitate group meetings to communicate safety updates and operational changes.
- 6Coordinate performance evaluations with management to drive team development.
- 7Determine best solutions for package issues to minimize delays and errors.
Requirements7
- 15+ years of supervisory experience in a warehouse or logistics environment (preferred).
- 2Ability to lift 70 lbs/32 kgs regularly.
- 3Availability to work flexible shift hours, up to 5 days per week.
- 4Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- 5Strong problem solving skills, with ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
- 6Strong oral and written communication skills.
- 7Bachelor's degree or international equivalent (preferred).
