
Powder Coating Technician, Manufacturing
Overview
You will own powder coating operations on manufactured components, applying powder coatings to parts produced through various methods. You deliver high-quality surface finishes that meet customer specifications. You work onsite in Seattle, Washington, supporting a team focused on production quality. This role demands precision and hands-on knowledge of coating processes.
What You'll Do7
- 1Apply powder coatings to manufactured components using electrostatic spray guns.
- 2Prepare surfaces by cleaning, masking, and pre-treating parts before coating.
- 3Monitor oven temperatures and cure cycles to ensure proper adhesion and finish.
- 4Inspect finished parts for defects and rework as needed to meet specifications.
- 5Maintain coating equipment and work area to ensure consistent operation.
- 6Document coating parameters and production logs for quality control.
- 7Collaborate with production team to prioritize work orders and meet deadlines.
Requirements7
- 12+ years experience in powder coating operations.
- 2Knowledge of electrostatic spray equipment and techniques.
- 3Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work orders.
- 4Attention to detail for surface finish quality.
- 5High school diploma or equivalent.
- 6Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- 7Experience with masking and pre-treatment processes.
