You will own the finalization of loan transactions for a coast-to-coast title and escrow company, ensuring every file is complete, compliant, and ready for delivery. Working with loan officers, notaries, and attorneys, you will resolve discrepancies that stall funding. This role demands precision under volume: you will manage multiple loan files simultaneously, meeting strict deadlines without sacrificing quality. You will be the last line of defense before loans fund and record, making your attention to detail the difference between a clean close and a costly delay.
What You'll Do8
- 1Review post-closing documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- 2Coordinate with loan officers, notaries, and attorneys to resolve outstanding issues or discrepancies in loan files.
- 3Monitor and track post-closing deadlines, communicating status updates to relevant parties to ensure timely loan delivery.
- 4Verify all closing documents are properly executed and notarized before submission to funding and recording entities.
- 5Prepare and assemble loan files for delivery to investors, agencies, or other entities, following specific guidelines.
- 6Audit loan files for missing signatures, dates, and required disclosures, correcting errors before they cause delays.
- 7Collaborate with internal departments to ensure all post-closing requirements are met per company policies.
- 8Maintain an organized tracking system for loan files, prioritizing tasks to meet aggressive closing calendars.
Requirements8
- 12+ years experience with a title company, preferably in post-closing or closing functions.
- 2Proficiency with Title Company software for document management and file tracking.
- 3Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data organization and reporting.
- 4Strong knowledge of loan documentation and compliance regulations in the mortgage industry.
- 5High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field preferred.
- 6Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple loan files simultaneously.
- 7Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
- 8Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling high volume without compromising accuracy.
