PMHNP or PA - Onsite Behavioral Health in Greater Orlando
Overview
Own and deliver on-site psychiatric care for adults and geriatric residents across Greater Orlando with provider autonomy and strong team support. You will conduct evaluations, develop evidence-based treatment plans, and manage medications while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. This role emphasizes compassionate, trauma-informed, resident-centered care in a long-term care setting and offers structured onboarding and ongoing mentorship.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, consultations and follow-up visits for adults and geriatric residents
- 2Diagnose and manage psychiatric conditions and behavioral health needs
- 3Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
- 4Prescribe, monitor and adjust psychotropic medications
- 5Evaluate treatment response and side effects to optimize care
- 6Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, therapists, social workers, residents and families
- 7Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning
- 8Educate residents, caregivers and staff regarding diagnoses, medications and interventions
- 9Provide trauma-informed, resident-centered care
- 10Maintain accurate, timely and compliant clinical documentation
Requirements10
- 1Board-certified PMHNP-BC or Physician Assistant with significant psychiatric experience
- 2Active and unrestricted Florida professional license
- 3Active DEA registration required
- 4Strong knowledge of psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, psychopharmacology and treatment planning
- 5Ability to manage a psychiatric caseload independently
- 6Excellent communication, organization and clinical-reasoning skills
- 7Geriatric, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care or post-acute experience preferred
- 8Familiarity with electronic medical record systems preferred
- 9Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus but not required
- 10Competitive annual compensation range: $155,000–$190,000 with full benefits and on-site schedule
