Plant Engineer, Industrial Manufacturing & Capital Projects
Overview
Own and optimize plant floor performance at scale within a manufacturing site in Phoenix. You’ll collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Process Engineering to reduce costs and boost productivity through capital equipment deployments. This hands-on role focuses on understanding how equipment works, diagnosing root causes, and delivering practical solutions that improve safety, reliability, and efficiency. You’ll contribute to continuous improvement and partner with cross-functional teams to standardize future equipment and controls.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build capital equipment readiness and site preparation for new deployments
- 2Partner with Project Engineering and Operations to install, commission, startup, and transition equipment to steady-state production
- 3Support site capital and expense projects to meet schedule and budget targets
- 4Troubleshoot mechanical and process issues using data and root-cause analysis to improve performance
- 5Identify opportunities to improve productivity, flow, and equipment reliability
- 6Collaborate with Operational Excellence on cost-reduction initiatives and continuous improvement
- 7Assist Maintenance with installation, troubleshooting, and reliability enhancements
- 8Coordinate with internal external resources to develop engineering solutions
- 9Develop technical documentation, reports, and training materials
- 10Assist Packaging Engineering on R&D initiatives and product trials
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- 25+ years of progressively responsible technical or engineering experience in manufacturing
- 3Experience supporting manufacturing equipment processes capital projects or plant engineering initiatives
- 4Ability to troubleshoot equipment and process issues and identify root causes
- 5Experience coordinating projects across Engineering Operations and Maintenance
- 6AutoCAD experience
- 7Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- 8Ability to read and interpret technical drawings procedures specifications and other engineering documentation
- 9Strong written and verbal communication skills
- 10Valid driver’s license and ability to travel domestically and internationally
