Manufacturing Engineer, Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement
Overview
Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement expert will own production process optimization at scale across multiple lines. You will partner with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Product Development, and Maintenance to drive efficiency, quality, and cost reductions. You will design and maintain work instructions, SOPs, and process standards while supporting new product introductions. This role blends hands-on execution with data-driven decision making in a dynamic manufacturing setting.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety across lines
- 2Develop, implement, and maintain work instructions, SOPs, process documentation, and manufacturing standards
- 3Lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives using Kaizen 5S and root cause analysis to reduce waste
- 4Monitor KPIs and manufacturing metrics to identify opportunities for operational improvements
- 5Support production teams with troubleshooting and resolution of manufacturing issues
- 6Conduct root cause investigations and implement corrective actions to improve quality and reduce scrap and rework
- 7Support new product introductions from prototype through production launch
- 8Evaluate product designs for manufacturability and recommend process improvements
- 9Develop production processes tooling fixtures and manufacturing documentation
- 10Manage projects involving equipment improvements process optimization and operational enhancements
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering Mechanical Engineering Industrial Engineering or related discipline
- 2Minimum 3 years of manufacturing engineering experience
- 3Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing continuous improvement and process optimization
- 4Experience performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions
- 5Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
- 6Strong project management and organizational skills
- 7Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools
- 8Experience with ERP systems and manufacturing software preferred
- 9Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD software preferred
- 10Experience supporting assembly manufacturing consumer products automotive RV outdoor products or related industries preferred
