Manufacturing Engineer, Lean & Process Optimization

You will own production process improvement across all product lines at a 25-person engineering org in Rancocas, NJ. You will drive Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives, manage CAPA activities, and ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effective. What You'll Do10
- 1Build and maintain a strategic overview of all product lines to improve production flow and product quality.
- 2Collaborate with engineering, production, and procurement teams to enhance manufacturing processes and support cost-effective designs.
- 3Drive Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma projects to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and standardize best practices.
- 4Lead and participate in CAPA activities to address root causes and prevent recurrence of quality issues.
- 5Create and update work instructions to ensure consistent and accurate execution of manufacturing tasks.
- 6Support machining operations by providing technical guidance and process optimization recommendations.
- 7Use ERP systems to plan, track, and report on production activities, aligning with engineering and procurement requirements.
- 8Apply MS Office Project to organize tasks, manage timelines, and communicate project status.
- 9Provide clear direction to production personnel and cross-functional teams to implement process changes and improvements.
- 10Contribute to continuous improvement projects that enhance operational efficiency, quality, and overall manufacturing performance.
Requirements10
- 13-5 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
- 23-5 years of experience with Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma methodologies.
- 3Hands-on experience with manufacturing engineering, including process improvement and optimization.
- 4Experience working with CAPA in a manufacturing setting.
- 5Ability to develop, document, and maintain detailed work instructions.
- 6Experience supporting machining operations within a manufacturing environment.
- 7Strong understanding of engineering practices, production control processes, and manufacturing methods.
- 8Practical experience using ERP systems in a production environment.
- 9Proficiency with MS Office suite, including Project, for planning, analysis, and communication.
- 10Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
