Industrial Engineering Technician, Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement
Overview
Owns process analysis and continuous improvement initiatives in a fast paced production environment at scale. Collaborates with engineering, production, quality, and operations to reduce waste and improve efficiency using Lean Manufacturing principles. Supports documentation and standardization to ensure consistency and compliance. This role stands out through hands on floor improvement work combined with data driven decision making and cross functional collaboration.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build process maps and SOPs to standardize operations and support training.
- 2Collect and analyze manufacturing data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- 3Conduct time studies and work measurements to optimize labor utilization.
- 4Assist Lean Manufacturing Six Sigma 5S initiatives on the production floor.
- 5Identify inefficiencies and recommend solutions to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- 6Create workstation layouts and visual work instructions to support optimized operations.
- 7Monitor KPIs and prepare reports to drive data driven decisions.
- 8Support implementation of new equipment tooling methods and workflow changes.
- 9Collaborate with production maintenance quality supply chain and engineering to resolve issues and remove barriers to performance.
- 10Maintain accurate engineering records and technical documentation for traceability and compliance.
Requirements10
- 1Associate degree or technical diploma in Industrial Engineering Technology Manufacturing Technology Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field or equivalent manufacturing experience
- 2Experience in a manufacturing production or industrial environment
- 3Proficiency with Microsoft Excel Word and PowerPoint for data analysis documentation and reporting
- 4Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing Six Sigma 5S and continuous improvement methodologies
- 5Strong analytical mathematical and problem solving abilities for evaluating processes and proposing improvements
- 6Excellent organizational and communication skills for coordinating activities and presenting findings
- 7Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing specifications
- 8Experience creating manufacturing documentation and work instructions
- 9Experience performing time studies and labor analysis to support process optimization
- 10Experience supporting process improvement initiatives and continuous improvement events
