Plant Engineer, Automation & PLC Systems
Overview
You will own automation systems across a high-speed packaging plant, ensuring uptime and performance. You will support Allen-Bradley PLCs and FactoryTalk HMI/SCADA systems, driving reliability and safety. You will lead engineering projects from planning to vendor coordination. This role offers direct impact on production efficiency and compliance with OSHA and food safety standards.
What You'll Do6
- 1Design, program, and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs and FactoryTalk HMI/SCADA systems.
- 2Support equipment commissioning, upgrades, and automation initiatives to improve performance.
- 3Provide technical support for maintenance, diagnose equipment issues, and drive uptime improvements.
- 4Lead engineering projects, including planning, budgeting, execution, and vendor coordination.
- 5Use SQL and manufacturing data to identify trends and support system integration.
- 6Ensure compliance with OSHA, food safety, and company standards.
Requirements8
- 15+ years in plant, manufacturing, or automation engineering.
- 2Proficiency with Allen-Bradley PLCs (RSLogix/Studio 5000) and FactoryTalk systems.
- 33+ years hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley and HMI platforms.
- 4Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
- 5Strong project management, troubleshooting, and cross-functional communication skills.
- 6Preferred: experience in food manufacturing or regulated industries.
- 7Knowledge of high-speed packaging equipment.
- 8Experience with SQL, Ignition SCADA, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma.
