What You'll Do12
- 1Lead architectural layout component breakdown and interface definition for complex HPM systems to meet high-performance reliability and security standards
- 2Drive requirements flow-down traceability and operational concepts from conceptual design through integration verification testing and production
- 3Evaluate COTS custom components using RF lab equipment including Vector Network Analyzers spectrum analyzers and oscilloscopes
- 4Lead requirements working groups collaborate with defense customers and present technical design reviews
- 5Support multiple active programs simultaneously partnering with program managers to ensure on-time delivery
- 6Refine testing monitoring and performance analysis frameworks to elevate system engineering practices
- 7Think at the system level while understanding technical details
- 8Build strong relationships across engineering disciplines and with customers
- 9Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
- 10Anticipate integration challenges early and develop practical solutions
- 11Take ownership of system performance from architecture through verification
- 12Travel up to 10 percent for vendor visits customer reviews or off-site testing
Requirements11
- 15+ years building HPM systems or RF Directed Energy platforms
- 2Deep understanding of major HPM components and simulation tools such as Python COMSOL CST Ansys HFSS
- 3Experience testing hardware with Vector Network Analyzers oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers
- 4U.S. Citizenship required with active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one
- 5Prior experience on DoD contracts preferred
- 6Strong written verbal communication skills with presentation track record
- 7Familiarity with defense acquisition processes preferred
- 8Problem-solving mindset capable of managing shifting priorities
- 9Knowledge of working directed energy RF microwave or advanced defense technologies
- 10Ability to lift or move prototype equipment up to 50 pounds occasionally
- 11Comfortable working near elevated noise chemical or electromagnetic environments
