What You'll Do11
- 1Deliver skilled PT services as ordered by the attending physician and create care plans aligned with physician directives
- 2Educate patients and families on treatment processes and self-management strategies
- 3Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- 4Assess patient conditions and report changes promptly to the supervising physical therapist
- 5Provide therapeutic interventions including exercise massage heat and other modalities to improve function
- 6Coordinate with healthcare professionals to achieve patient goals and optimize outcomes
- 7Serve as a family advocate offering guidance on managing injuries and conditions
- 8Operate mobility aids and orthotic devices correctly
- 9Attend mandatory training sessions and stay updated on agency policies
- 10Support scheduling and administrative functions within the team
- 11Contribute to a positive work environment through compassionate communication
Requirements7
- 1Current PTA license in the state of employment
- 2Minimum one year PTA experience in acute care settings
- 3Home care experience preferred
- 4Valid driver's license and personal auto insurance
- 5Ability to meet all physical demands of the position
- 6Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions
- 7Effective communication skills and patience when working with diverse populations
