Photographer, Videographer, MEDCOM Events & Digital Storytelling
Overview
Owns high-resolution photography and video across Army Medicine programs and major events. Collaborates with a Senior Writer and Multimedia Designer to produce gallery-ready images and reel-style videos from capture to post-production. Supports digital storytelling, accessibility standards, and analytics integration for brand reporting. This hybrid role balances field shooting with studio-style post-production work in a government context.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and edit reel-style videos and platform-optimized content that engage stakeholders and drive audience interaction
- 2Capture high-resolution photography and video with contractor-furnished gear and mobile devices as appropriate
- 3Organize caption and review imagery and video for approved web, social, news, briefing, and event use
- 4Support high-profile events including Army Trials, Warrior Games, Army Best Medic Competition, Army Medicine Best Squad Competition
- 5Collaborate with the Senior Writer and Multimedia Designer on content development from concept through publication
- 6Maintain knowledge of digital content trends, social media regulations, and Section 508 accessibility standards
- 7Contribute imagery, platform, and production data to bi-annual brand audits and monthly analytics reporting
- 8Ensure post-production quality through editing, color correction, and reel/short-form video production
- 9Manage and protect sensitive government information in line with regulations and security requirements
- 10Travel to government-designated event locations as required and coordinate with COR for scheduling and approvals
Requirements7
- 1Minimum six (6) years of professional photography and videography experience
- 2Demonstrated post-production competency including editing and color correction and reel/short-form video production
- 3Working knowledge of Section 508 compliance standards for digital media
- 4Understanding of government and platform regulations governing social media imagery and video
- 5Ability to work full-time onsite at Falls Church, VA under Government-defined core hours
- 6Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust/NACI and Government-issued CAC
- 7Must be able to travel to Soldier Recovery Units, Army Trials, Warrior Games, and other Army Medicine event locations as required
