Overview
The Videographer and Editor leads visual storytelling for the Office of Marketing and Communications. This role creates branded content across multiple platforms while collaborating with teams. Successful candidates drive innovative video solutions and enhance audience engagement.
What You'll Do16
- 1Video Editing Apply various methods of post-production creative editing to complete long and short form video projects
- 2Complete understanding of the video production process to include a familiarity of conceptualizing scripting filming and editing
- 3Video editing using Adobe Premiere Pro
- 4Color correct video footage using Premiere or other color grading software
- 5Design motion graphics and other effects using After Effects and Photoshop
- 6Assist with captions thumbnail development and other aspects to increase impact
- 7Manage storage and archiving of footage and projects including detailed metadata
- 8Supervise and provide maintenance of video editing hardware and software
- 9Produce video content for numerous platforms including the web social media and television by collecting clean audio compelling high-quality video and memorable moments
- 10Complete tasks as needed and assigned in all areas of field production such as idea development site surveys location scouting equipment transportation set up audio lighting and cameras
- 11Conduct interviews in the field
- 12Cover events and capture general campus B-roll
- 13Work solo and on a team in the field
- 14Assist in all aspects of video production including supporting file management
- 15Perform general office support including updates to the project management system and making inventory orders
- 16Coordinate with campus partners and outside vendors
Requirements11
- 1Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- 2Experience: Three years of experience in related field
- 3Additional work experience may substitute for up to four years of required education
- 4Physical Demands: Ability to carry and transport heavy camera equipment across campus locations
- 5Ability to move quickly between locations by foot or vehicle
- 6Strong attention to detail
- 7Knowledge of organizational principles and time management practices
- 8Skill in project management including planning coordinating tracking progress and ensuring successful completion of initiatives within established timelines
- 9Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- 10Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro After Effects and Photoshop
- 11Three years of professional video production experience
