What You'll Do7
- 1Obtains quality blood samples using various phlebotomy methods for all age groups
- 2Ensures accurate patient identification and proper specimen labeling processing handling and transportation
- 3Assists in patient recovery from adverse reactions and responds to medical emergencies
- 4Communicates procedures to patients and teams to enhance satisfaction
- 5Handles sharps and biohazardous materials following regulations
- 6Works with computer systems and maintains HIPAA compliance
- 7Performs additional test administration tasks as needed
Requirements8
- 1High School Diploma or equivalent accepted
- 2Class D driver's license and state passenger vehicle license
- 3Experience in phlebotomy preferred over degree
- 4Completion of phlebotomy certification program
- 5Strong communication and customer service skills
- 6Ability to prioritize work and manage time effectively
- 7Superior empathy and respect for patient privacy
- 8Independent work style with collaborative teamwork abilities
