What You'll Do11
- 1Collect quality blood samples using various phlebotomy methods for all age groups
- 2Ensure accurate patient identification and proper specimen labeling processing handling and transportation
- 3Assist in patient recovery and respond to medical emergencies in the inpatient setting
- 4Communicate procedures and address patient concerns to enhance satisfaction
- 5Handle sharps and biohazardous materials following regulations
- 6Work with computer systems and comply with HIPAA requirements
- 7Perform additional test administration tasks as needed
- 8Demonstrate proficiency in specimen collection tube selection volume and stability
- 9Showcase strong written and oral communication skills
- 10Prioritize work manage time and adapt to changing volumes
- 11Provide empathetic patient care while respecting privacy and autonomy
Requirements9
- 1High School Diploma or equivalent accepted
- 2Class D passenger vehicle driver's license
- 3No prior college degree required
- 4Preference for candidates with phlebotomy course completion
- 5Strong knowledge of proper collection methods and specimen processing
- 6Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
