What You'll Do11
- 1Own patient sample collection process from draw to delivery
- 2Perform venipuncture and finger stick procedures with precision
- 3Verify test orders against patient records for accuracy
- 4Explain collection methods to patients and obtain informed consent
- 5Maintain sterile technique during specimen acquisition
- 6Document all procedures in electronic medical records
- 7Track specimen logs with timestamps and unique identifiers
- 8Collaborate with nursing staff to resolve collection issues
- 9Ensure proper specimen labeling and transport
- 10Adhere to HIPAA regulations and privacy requirements
- 11Contribute to quality improvement initiatives
Requirements10
- 15+ years experience in clinical laboratory phlebotomy
- 2AWS Certified phlebotomy credential preferred
- 3Spark and Airflow familiarity required
- 4CPC Card certification mandatory
- 5BCBA certification acceptable
- 6High school diploma or equivalent
- 7Current state phlebotomy license active
- 8Minimum 2 years of direct patient care experience
- 9Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
- 10Strong interpersonal communication abilities
