What You'll Do7
- 1Obtains venous and capillary specimens using established procedures
- 2Utilizes computerized systems for logging specimen collection and patient data
- 3Operates centrifuges and microscopes for sample preparation
- 4Communicates with laboratory and medical staff to resolve specimen issues
- 5Labels specimens correctly for processing delivery or storage
- 6Responds to STAT phlebotomy requests when medically indicated
- 7Stand for extended periods and walk periodically during shifts
Requirements5
- 1Minimum one year phlebotomy experience preferred
- 2High school diploma or GED required
- 3Certification as registered phlebotomist preferred
- 4Ability to work in fast-paced clinical environments
