Overview
You will own prescription processing and patient service at H-E-B, managing a high-volume retail pharmacy with RxEVO and ScriptPro. Your team includes pharmacists and fellow techs, with you as a key point for third-party adjudication and inventory control. You will also lead screening events and ensure HIPAA compliance. What You'll Do9
- 1Build patient trust by greeting each customer, asking how you can help, and thanking them for their business while processing prescriptions in RxEVO.
- 2Manage exception stations and solve third-party payment issues using RxIMS and PartnerNet to keep fills moving.
- 3Drive immunization and screening events by scheduling flu shots and organizing health screenings with the pharmacy team.
- 4Own inventory accuracy by ordering from Warehouse and DSD vendors, checking deliveries, and adjusting discrepancies.
- 5Calibrate and maintain automated dispensing equipment including Kirby Lester and ScriptPro to ensure safe and accurate fills.
- 6Verify prescriptions using the 7-point check, hand-counting controlled substances, and measuring liquids for exact doses.
- 7Protect patient privacy by following HIPAA rules during prescription handoff and maintaining secure records.
- 8Support the pharmacy manager with 5-S compliance, returns, and facility upkeep to keep the department organized.
- 9Process RxIMS reports on count compliance and no-location inventory to identify and fix errors.
Requirements8
- 13+ years of pharmacy experience, preferably in retail, or 1+ year as an active certified pharmacy technician.
- 2Active Texas CPhT certification with ongoing 20 hours of CE every two years.
- 3Working knowledge of RxEVO and pharmacy management tasks including adjudication and inventory.
- 4Proven ability to calculate measurements and handle math for compounding and dosage.
- 5Intermediate computer skills with MS Office, Windows, and pharmacy systems like RxIMS.
- 6HS Diploma or GED required.
- 7Experience with Kirby Lester, ScriptPro, or similar automation tools is a plus.
- 8Ability to stand for extended periods, lift 30+ lbs, and work flexible shifts including nights and weekends.
