Pharmacy Technician Order Entry, LTC Pharmacy & Medicaid Compliance
Overview
Pharmacy Technician order entry role at PharMerica where you will own accurate medication order entry for long-term care and senior living communities at scale. You’ll join a closed-door, non-retail pharmacy team and collaborate with pharmacists and operations to verify data and maintain compliance. This position emphasizes detail, speed, and efficient handling of high-volume workflows in a supportive environment. You will work behind the scenes with no direct patient-facing duties and contribute to safe patient care.
What You'll Do10
- 1Enter and verify medication orders in a computerized system with a high level of accuracy and efficiency
- 2Conduct basic drug calculations including dosage and conversions for precise dosing
- 3Investigate and resolve pharmacy claim denials and perform follow-up actions in POS systems to reduce delays
- 4Stay current with Medicaid claim regulations and ensure processing compliance across programs
- 5Track unpaid or delayed claims and generate reports for management to drive improvement
- 6Provide excellent customer service in line with company values and policies across teams
- 7Assist with medication preparation and dispensing under Pharmacist supervision to support workflow
- 8Support additional pharmacy tasks and operations as directed by management to maintain operations
- 9Maintain up-to-date knowledge of pharmacy regulations and licensing requirements for compliance
- 10Participate in ongoing training and career development opportunities to advance skills
Requirements8
- 1Washington Pharmacy Technician License – REQUIRED
- 2PTCB Certification - We’re committed to helping you build a rewarding career New hires have 6 months to obtain their PTCB certification
- 3High School diploma or equivalent
- 4Experience in a pharmacy setting and medical terminology
- 5Ability to operate a computer and recognize medications
- 6Detail oriented, goal oriented, team player, and effective oral communication
- 7Desirable: Long Term Care pharmacy experience
- 8Position is posted for a minimum of 7 business days
