Pharmacy Technician, Michigan LTC & Closed-Door Pharmacy
Overview
Own the accurate filling labeling and packaging of medications for a fast-paced closed-door pharmacy. You will work on multiple packaging formats and ensure timely distribution to facilities while maintaining compliance. Collaborate with pharmacists and wholesalers in Eastpointe and support daily operations from 10 00 am to 6 30 pm Monday through Friday. This contract role emphasizes precision, adherence to processes, and rapid software adaptation.
What You'll Do9
- 1Build and wrap prescriptions including LTC multi dose cards and pouch packaging to support timely pharmacist verification
- 2Operate packaging equipment to complete production runs on schedule
- 3Manage cycle medication exchanges by checking in and reconciling facility returns
- 4Process returned medications and apply credits where appropriate
- 5Receive wholesaler orders daily stock and rotate shelves to maintain inventory
- 6Pull products scan NDCs and prepare orders for final pharmacist verification
- 7Maintain a clean organized work area to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- 8Support adherence to medication delivery timelines in a structured environment
- 9Collaborate with pharmacists and teammates to ensure quality pharmaceutical care
Requirements10
- 1Current active Michigan Pharmacy Technician license
- 2PTCB certification a plus but not required
- 3At least 1 year of Pharmacy Technician experience
- 4Experience in closed door pharmacy or LTC setting preferred but not mandatory
- 5Ability to adapt quickly to new software and work environments
- 6No data entry tasks required in this role
- 7Available for contract assignment ASAP through year end with potential extension
- 8Proficient in selecting and labeling medications and maintaining inventory
- 9Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- 10Must be able to work Monday through Friday 10 00 am to 6 30 pm
