Pharmacy Order Entry Technician, Long Term Care Pharmacy & Claims Support
Overview
Pharmacy Order Entry Technician will own accurate order entry and claim follow-up for long term care clients at a non retail closed door pharmacy. You will join a dedicated team supporting pharmacists in a high-volume environment with ongoing training and growth opportunities. This role emphasizes accuracy, regulatory awareness, and customer service while working under pharmacist supervision in a collaborative setting.
What You'll Do8
- 1Enter and verify medication orders in a computerized system with high accuracy and efficiency
- 2Conduct basic drug calculations including dosage and conversion tasks
- 3Investigate and resolve pharmacy claim denials; perform follow-up actions in POS systems
- 4Stay current with Medicaid claim regulations and ensure compliant processing
- 5Track unpaid or delayed claims; generate reports for management
- 6Provide excellent customer service in line with company values and policies
- 7Assist with medication preparation and dispensing under Pharmacist supervision
- 8Support additional pharmacy tasks and operations as directed by management
Requirements6
- 1High School diploma or equivalent
- 2Pharmacy Technician license as required by state
- 3Experience in a pharmacy setting and medical terminology
- 4Ability to operate a computer; recognize and identify medications
- 5Detail oriented; goal oriented, team player, and effective oral communication
- 6Desired: Long Term Care pharmacy experience
