What You'll Do10
- 1Fill medication orders accurately with correct strength and dosage
- 2Assist pharmacist in dispensing verified orders
- 3Stock ADCs and restock medications in a timely manner
- 4Prepare non sterile and sterile compounded products in accordance with USP standards
- 5Restock IV room, maintain IV cleaning schedule and prepare IV products
- 6Maintain QA logs, document deviations, and support performance improvement plans
- 7Train and educate new staff and support department policies
- 8Troubleshoot automated dispensing technology and ensure proper charging of patient accounts
- 9Support department leadership and ensure efficient workflow
- 10Handle controlled substances following proper procedures and reporting variances
Requirements10
- 1Licensed in Arizona as a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician certification
- 2Three years hospital pharmacy experience or equivalent
- 3Experience with sterile IV compounding and chemotherapy preparation preferred
- 4Basic computer skills and ability to work in fast-paced environment
- 5Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- 6High School graduate or equivalent
- 7Willingness to work in all areas of pharmacy services
- 8Preferred completion of certified pharmacy technician training program
- 9Good organizational and verbal written communication skills
- 10Ability to follow hospital policies and procedures
