Pharmacy Technician, Healthcare Clinic & Patients Services
Overview
Pharmacy Technician at Tampa Family Health Centers will support outpatient pharmacy operations under a licensed Pharmacist. You will work with care teams, ensure accurate dispensing, inventory management, and insurance verification in a collaborative clinical setting. What You'll Do10
- 1Build accurate prescriptions and dispense medications following SOPs
- 2Identify medications from stock, count quantities, and prepare prescription labels
- 3Verify patient insurance eligibility and calculate costs for third-party payers
- 4Respond to routine inquiries and escalate complex questions to the pharmacist
- 5Assist with patient education materials and refills coordination
- 6Maintain accurate records and support quality control activities
- 7Manage daily pharmacy operations including inventory, supplies, and cash handling
- 8Ensure HIPAA and regulatory compliance across state and federal requirements
- 9Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment
- 10Foster positive relationships with patients and the community
Requirements10
- 1High school diploma or equivalent
- 2Pharmacy Technician Certification from an approved technical school or minimum six months of retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- 3Current BLS certification or ability to obtain and maintain certification
- 4Ability to complete required 340B University training within two weeks and maintain renewals
- 5Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and electronic health records
- 6Knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and basic pharmacy math
- 7Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- 8Excellent communication and customer service skills
- 9Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals
- 10Team-oriented mindset with adaptability to changing priorities
