What You'll Do12
- 1Assist with planning directing supervising monitoring pharmacy operations and serve as liaison between pharmacy and clinical departments
- 2Focus on ensuring continuous prescription growth and provide direction to staff for departmental effectiveness
- 3Resolve order shipping and billing issues and assume pharmacist in charge duties when needed
- 4Perform staff pharmacist duties and direct employee activities
- 5Manage departmental budgets and participate in quality management committees
- 6Fulfill senior clinical person duties for accreditation and act as Pharmacist in Charge
- 7Maintain understanding of insurance adjudication processes and inventory procedures
- 8Apply computer systems including web applications and Microsoft Office
- 9Drive process improvements using Lean diagnostic techniques
- 10Make informed decisions guided by policies and objectives
- 11Communicate effectively in written and oral formats to internal and external stakeholders
- 12Lead small projects fostering teamwork and workflow optimization
Requirements9
- 1Bachelor's degree required with doctoral preference
- 2Massachusetts Pharmacist license
- 33-5 years related experience plus 1-3 years supervisory experience
- 4Knowledge of insurance adjudication and inventory processes
- 5Working knowledge of inventory systems and Microsoft Office applications
- 6Retail pharmacy experience and pharmacy management background
- 7Experience with 340B Pharmacy and Med to Bed
- 8Competencies in decision making problem solving independence of action written and oral communication technical knowledge teamwork customer service age appropriate patient care skills
- 9Physical stamina for occasional walking standing and light lifting
