Personal Care Attendant (PCA) - Day Shift, Assisted Living
Overview
You will own direct resident care at Prestige Senior Living - Bridgewood, a 124-bed assisted living and independent living community with a history of deficiency-free surveys and national quality awards. You will join a team of 5,000+ caregivers across 8 western states, supported by onsite managers who favor coaching and democratic leadership. What You'll Do10
- 1Provide direct resident care, observing physical and mental conditions and reporting changes to the Health Services Director or Expressions Coordinator.
- 2Assist with ADLs, take vital signs and weights, and document care services and observations in the communication log and incident reports.
- 3Escort residents to and from the dining room and activities.
- 4Perform First Aid and initiate emergency response procedures as required.
- 5Greet residents, visitors, and staff courteously and answer phones when assigned.
- 6Follow fire safety and infection control practices, and report unsafe conditions or equipment to the supervisor.
- 7Serve meals in the dining room, assist residents at meal time, deliver trays, and help with cleanup and maintenance.
- 8Support move-ins, move-outs, and transfers, and coordinate personal care with co-workers, responding to assistance pages promptly.
- 9Assist with apartment housekeeping and resident laundry.
- 10Attend training, in-services, and staff meetings to maintain compliance and skills.
Requirements5
- 1High school diploma or GED with 1+ years of personal care experience with older adults preferred.
- 2Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- 3Food Handlers permit if required by state.
- 4Ability to pass competency evaluation within 120 days of employment.
- 5Completion of state-required training including Revised Fundamentals of Care, Dementia Care, and HIV training if documentation not provided.
