Performance Test Engineer, NeoLoad & CI/CD
Overview
Drive performance and resiliency validation for enterprise applications at scale. Own workload modeling, test execution, and bottleneck analysis using NeoLoad and CI/CD pipelines. Partner with engineering teams to design and run resiliency scenarios, ensure failover readiness, and deliver actionable results. This role focuses on hands-on testing across Reston, VA, with a 6-12 month contract and near-term impact.
What You'll Do7
- 1Build and execute performance test scenarios with NeoLoad to validate system behavior under peak loads.
- 2Design and run resiliency tests including failover validation and recovery analysis for critical applications.
- 3Monitor system metrics during tests to identify bottlenecks and performance degradation.
- 4Collaborate with developers to debug and resolve performance issues uncovered during testing.
- 5Integrate performance tests into CI/CD pipelines for automated regression testing.
- 6Document test results and provide clear recommendations to stakeholders.
- 7Maintain and enhance test frameworks and scripts for repeatable testing.
Requirements8
- 15+ years of experience in performance testing or quality engineering for enterprise applications.
- 2Hands-on expertise with NeoLoad or equivalent tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
- 3Proven ability to model workloads and design performance test scenarios.
- 4Experience with resiliency testing, failover validation, and recovery analysis.
- 5Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integrating performance tests into them.
- 6Familiarity with monitoring tools like Dynatrace or New Relic.
- 7Solid skills in bottleneck analysis and root cause troubleshooting.
- 8Effective communication skills for reporting results to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
