Performance Software Engineer Nuro
Overview
We seek engineers to optimize the performance of Nuro's AV software ensuring vehicles react quickly and safely. The team builds systems for continuous performance analysis driving latency reduction and resource efficiency.
What You'll Do6
- 1Analyze profile debug monitor and optimize AV software performance
- 2Design and develop memory management thread prioritization process lifetime management systems
- 3Work with cross‑functional teams to define architecture and building blocks
- 4Create core libraries and APIs enabling high‑performance code development
- 5Drive best practices throughout the organization
- 6Collaborate with engineers to build autonomous stacks for current and future generations of the Nuro Driver
Requirements10
- 1Strong system fundamentals and proficiency in C++
- 2Expertise in computer architecture and operating systems
- 3Experience developing in highly concurrent multi‑processor multi‑threaded environments
- 4Familiarity with performance profiling tools such as perf VTune BPF Nvidia Nsight Systems
- 52+ years of relevant industry experience
- 6BS MS or PhD in CS or related field
- 7Bonus points for GPU programming CUDA OpenCL and low‑level driver optimization for Nvidia GPUs
- 8Experience with Nvidia DriveOS or ROS
- 9Excellent problem solving and communication skills

$160 - $241k per year
