Overview

Peer Specialist at PATH Inc will own recovery support for individuals with psychiatric or intellectual disabilities across a community based program. You will work onsite in Philadelphia, part time 24 hours per week, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to promote recovery and peer-driven care. This role emphasizes training, WRAP, and peer culture to drive meaningful outcomes. What You'll Do10

  • 1Build and facilitate self help groups for residents with behavioral health issues
  • 2Design and cofacilitate resident meetings to nurture a peer recovery culture
  • 3Lead WRAP education and engagement for participants and staff
  • 4Provide training and orientation to new employees on recovery concepts and peer support
  • 5Support residents in developing and practicing skills on their service plans
  • 6Assist residents with appointments, activities, and daily living tasks to promote independence
  • 7Link residents to community peer support for integration
  • 8Model self advocacy and share recovery experiences to inspire participants
  • 9Keep the treatment team informed of concerns, strengths, and achievements
  • 10Participate in team meetings to ensure recovery remains central to care

Requirements5

  • 1High School diploma or GED
  • 2Experience supporting individuals with psychiatric or intellectual disabilities preferred
  • 3Pennsylvania approved certification as a peer specialist or WRAP certification preferred
  • 4Able to use an Electronic Health Record
  • 5History of receiving behavioral health services
